2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 Ungstrup (26217) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - JUL 14, 2009
Draft at the alehous in Walnut Creek. A hazy amber beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma has notes of bread, caramel, and a touch of malt. The flavor is sweet, but with some weird off-notes, and more normal notes of caramel and malt - is it the malt base that makes it weird? I’m not a fan.

Tap at Pyramid Taproom at Oakland Airport. Cloudy pale amber in color with a one finger cream-colored head. Faint aroma of caramel, nuts, and English yeast. The flavor is actually a bit yeasty, oddly enough. Sweet and malty with just a tiny bit of hop bitterness. Medium-bodied with average carbonation. The epitome of mediocrity, more or less.
