Smooth in texture and rich in taste, this traditionally inspired English Ale is celebrated for its classic roasted malt flavor and amber color. English East Kent Goldings hops give our Alehouse ESB a spicy aroma.

this beer is a nice break from the plethora of wheat beers at Pyramid. Itís a decent esb, or session beer, light malty profile, medium brown in color, ever so slightly bitter finish."

12oz bottle 6/23/00 -Pours a brownish orange with a small tan head. Aroma of malt, caramel, and hops. Taste of the same. This light to medium bodied brew was not bad.

decent beer, but not very bitter like it should be. Good malt presence, but a boring finish. my sample was old, so that maybe the reason it wasnít that good

Faint aroma, some spicy, herbal British hop, orange citrus and lightly sweet maltiness. Dark amber color, some sedimentation, with a fading head. Flavor profile was a little plain, definite Goldings hop flavors and a touch of toasty, caramel malt sweetness. Finish sees a slight amount of hop bitterness, some tea leaf flavors. I didn't find this one very inspiring.

A good beer, not their best, but quite drinkable. Nice malt nose, and some hop presence.

I expected this to be better. Word on the street has Pyramid in some financial trouble. I hope we donít lose another brewery.

Had this beer on 6/23/2000. Aroma is a sweet malt scent. Color is a brownish orange with light carbonation and head. Taste roasted and bitter. Starting with a light/medium body it goes down crisp. Finish is a mild malt flavor with an odd hop flavor and bitterness. Overall I think it fits itís category well but isnít a beer I would not go out of my way to drink.
