1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
UPDATED: APR 27, 2005 I remember this beer from ten years ago...they brought it back recently but something is not the same. That one was light, a little spicy but decent. This...hazy amber colour yes. Light aroma with just a hint of toast. Slightly creamy body. But really kind of bland. Maybe my tastes have changed, maybe they’ve dumbed it down. I really can’t say, but this was better when it first came out ages ago.

3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft at McTarnahan’s. Creamy malt aroma with hints of light fruit. Hazy deep amber color with a light creamy beige head. Light carbonation. Starts with stone fruit, transitions to caramel malts. Finishes with touches of banana (finally), a bit of unripe fruit, and light caramel. Not a hint of bitter, just malt, and some citrusy sour notes at the back of the mouth. Went very well with the Scotch Pie.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
This beer is a cloudy dark amber color (looks like a Barley Wine) with a medium thin light tan head. Aroma of toasted malt and a bit of spice. Light-bodied and carbonated pretty well. Malt, wheat and tart fruit flavors, none really asserting themselves. The finish is slick and wheaty. Overall this isn’t very bad and I always enjoy different takes on styles. In that respect this is decent but it is still only slightly above average.

"slightly more interesting than their regular wheat, but not necessarily better. nice fresh bite to it, but otherwise it’s pretty standard stuff. not really recommended."

3.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draft at the Drafting Room. Exton, PA. Pours hazy copper, with a medium, creamy, white head. Aroma of wheat, caramel malt, figs, cloves..very weissbockish aroma. Medium palate. The taste is a bit of a letdown after the aroma, but this one is good regardless. Try this on draft if you can.
