Brewed by the original Wheat Beer Pioneers, Amber Weizen is left unfiltered for extra flavor and aroma. Rich amber in color, Pyramid Amber Weizen features three different kinds of caramel barley malts and nugget hops resulting in an exceptionally smooth and well-balanced beer that follows in the tradition of our flagship style, Pyramid Hefe Weizen.

Average Wheat beer. It’s a "not bad, not good" kind of beer. Slightly bitter aftertaste.

Deep amber, with a thick white head that fades. It is hard to believe that this is a wheat beer. Very little of that wheat tang - a positive in my book.

On tap Pyramid Seattle location Poues out a cloudy light copper/amber topped with a small head. Aroma of light citrus and sweetness. Tast was pretty thin a little malt and some sweetness. Pretty ho hum.

Draft from the brewery. The color was far from amber; closer to a gold in fact. Decent aroma of malt. Slight cherry flavor. A bit watery. Overall, distinctly average.

I couldn’t tell what color it poured exactly, then I red the label. So I guess it’s amber. With a pretty unimpressive head that dissipates with no evidence left behind. So what if its not a masterfully crafted beer, it is tastey. Definitely malty, sweet, with a hint of brown sugar. It comes across as a very drinkable and thin version of a fairly malty red ale.

Bottle. Pours an amber body with a white head. Grainy and dry with a hint of citrus and honey but more wheaty. Thin with some caramel malt. eh.
