2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
12 oz bottle into a pint glass. Past the BB date, but who cares, it’s not an IPA.
A: Pours an apri-- I’m not going to say it. I’m just going to say it pours a golden orange color. There are a few specks of yeast sediment floating around in there, too. The head is a frothy-looking eggshell shade one fingers high. Retention is low and there’s minimal - if any - lacing left on the glass.
S: Apricots aplenty. That’s good and all, but the fact they seem a bit sweet and extract-y is a turnoff. Another turnoff: the dregs seem to have a cheesy aroma to it. ’Course, I still poured them in the glass anyways, because I’m a boss like that.
T: Sweet apricots start and finish this one off. Did I mention sweet? The only thing to break up the monotony is a touch of back end tartness. On the plus side, I don’t pick up much cheesiness in the flavor, so that good. I guess.
M: High carbonation and an off-dry finish do an okay job of scrubbing away some of the palate sweetness. Still too sweet, but not as stupidly cloying as it could have been. Not particularly easy to drink.
O: Meh. How many different ways can you say ’chick beer’?

WTFIT. Really good beer that tastes like chewing on a apricot. Refreshing, summery, fruity, wonderful. Tastes like a nice warm summer day, sunning with the shades on. Maybe girly, tastes great to this macho man.

For some reason the alcohol flavor overwhelmed what could have been a nice apricot fruit ale. Nice apricot flavor even though I’m not too fond of fruity beers. Booze just overwhelmed.

Nice fruit beer from Pyramid. The apricot is not overpowering but is strong enough to let you know it it there. Pours like a wheat.
From past tasting.

Smells of apricot and lemon zest. Appearance is a medium golden amber. Very little head and almost no retention or lacing. The taste is definitely apricot, but this isn't overpowering. The best part is the complete lack of bitterness. Which is great for a non-hophead like me. Thoroughly enjoyed.

"very refreshing beer in the summer, wouldn’t touch it in the winter. pretty close to their heffe, replacing a little of the wheat body with a sweet apricot chaser. not too subtle or overdone. a little thin on tap."

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
small frothy white head. fair lacing. mostly diminishing. clear sparkling average dark yellow body. aroma: peach jelly. if: moderate sweet. ff: moderate sweet light acidic very light bitter; average duration. palate: light body, watery texture, lively carbonation, light astringent finish. 8 s

Poured from bottle into a pint glass
Appearance – Pours a hazed yellow orange color with a tiny fizzy white head. The head fades instantly leaving only the tracest level of lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell- Huge apricot aroma in this one (as may be expected for an apricot ale). The apricot is rather pleasant and smells quite authentic. While dominating the smell, the apricot is joined by a light aroma of wheat as well.
Taste – The taste begins with a sweet apricot flavor straight up front with some hints of wheat mixed within. The wheat remains light throughout with the apricot growing even stronger and sweeter in flavor as the taste advances to the end. At the very end, a little bit of a peach flavor joins the taste as well, with the mix of apricot, peach and wheat leaving a sweet but smoother taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is average in terms of thickness and creaminess with a carbonation level that is rather low. A bit more carbonation may have suited the beer’s sweeter fruit flavors slightly better, but overall the feel was fine.
Overall – This is a brew big on apricot flavor with much less of else taking away from its center stage presence. Rather tasty and refreshing and a good go to if you feel like something apricot or fruity. Not bad.

Draft. Pours a hazy orange color. Aroma and taste are apricot and wheat and mildly sweet.
