3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Very nice copper coloured body with an amber glow and a thin tan head. Aroma of nice hops with a good nutty backbone and a little sweetness all with a very filling malt stance. Medium-bodied; Strong hop flavours dominate with perhaps more than usual for this brewery, with a little malt note and a relatively sweet and vinous finish. Aftertaste shows good character with a touch of complexity and a mainly hoppy finish showing good character for the style. Overall, a surprisingly decent IPA given the brewery. I sampled this pint on draught at the Walnut Creek, California brewpub on 18-March-2011.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at Seattle Ale House Location. The aroma is nice and juicy citrus with some caramel malts in the nose too. More assertively hoppy than their other IPA offering. Pours a clear copper color with no head. Nice vibrant hoppy flavor. Lots of citrus, floral hops, and some caramel malts that add a fruity sweetness. Long lingering citrus hop flavor. Really surprisingly good IPA from Pyramid.
