Clear, light copper color pour with a thin tan head. Light aroma of toasted grain, sweet malt and hops. Slightly sweet flavor of malt and light fruit, followed by a mild hoppy finish. Not bad to enjoy once a year.

9/26/2007: Pyramid Broken Rake has a malty and sugary caramel aroma with a malty flavor containing tea, floral hops, and something spicy in the finish (cinnammon perhaps?). This beer is well-balanced between a moderate sweetness and a mild hoppiness. Medium-bodied and smooth. Good.

Bottle, shared with Tyler Durden. Bright orange amber, thin off-white head. Aroma of spicy caramel and faint orange peel. Palate is chewy caramel (no spice however), and some nice fruit acids to offset the sweetness. Really nice! Better than the Breckenridge Avalanche we tasted alongside.
2.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 jujubeast6000 (854) - Houston, Texas, USA - NOV 19, 2008
Reviewed 11/2/2008 (bottle): Pours a clearish light brown body, very active bubbles on the side of the glass. Lowish whitish head but quickly diminishing. Malty nutty aroma, with some fresh smells like hay. Some fruitiness too, like strawberries or something. Malty taste, that same hay-like smell. Some light berry fruitiness, maybe fig. Average mouthfeel, not too thin, a little fizzy on the tongue. Eh, not my style.
