The finish was average in length and tangy.Something is afoul...
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 burgy (355) - Minnetonka, Minnesota, USA - JUN 17, 2012
Curve Ball did not surprise me with any delectable aromatics or heavy flavor. It was just a plain ole simple mild blonde ale.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 ngeunit1 (1536) - San Francisco, California, USA - JUN 8, 2012
A - Pours a fairly clear golden-orange color with a finger of frothy white head. The head fades down at a normal pace leaving behind some lacing.
S - Aroma is a mix of sweet bready and biscuit malts with some lemon zest, with some grassy and floral hops, with some hay and wheat.
T - Starts off with some lemon zest with some wheat and a touch of citrus hop. Through the middle, some sweet biscuity and bready malts come through with some grassy hop and some hay. The finish is a mix of hay, buttery cracker malt, citrus zest, with some wheat.
M - Light bodied with moderate carbonation. Feels smooth with a clean and lightly bready finish.
D - Very drinkable. Crisp and refreshing. The balance is a touch off and it is a bit thin but overall pretty good.
2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Ron (1985) - Rochester, New York, USA - MAY 29, 2012
Bottle. Very bready aroma. Deep yellow color, thin white head. Flavor of pale malts and a sharp, spicy hop. Very sharp, very spicy. Lots of pale malts and a huge bread character. A hint of fruit in the finish, even some earthy grass notes, and some cereal grains.
1.9 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 RasterMaster (257) - , Oklahoma, USA - MAY 21, 2012
Copper blonde pour into thin white head that quickly dissipates into a ring of bubbles. Aroma of wet cardboard. Initial flavor of barnyard straw that slowly fades into dirty carpet.
2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 Scrapersnbeer (977) - Boston, Massachusetts, USA - MAY 20, 2012
Aroma of grain and gravel. Orange color and typical bubbly kolsch look. Some bitter elements, but overall it’s kind of watery. Ditto for the weight and feel of the beer as well. Not so much a curveball as a sinker.
2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 arminjewell (4159) - Saudi Auroria, Colorado, USA - MAY 5, 2012
Was told to watch out for the hops when trying this...ha. Pour out of 12 oz bottle was clear yellow, thin white head, aroma brought notes of some biscuit, grainy notes, slight spice and a touch of grassy notes as well. Taste was pretty watered down, some slight corn and grain, hints of spice just as it finishes fairly dry, but without any flavor.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 patrick767 (3169) - fort wayne, Indiana, USA - APR 25, 2012
bottle - Pours cloudy gold and fizzy with a small, rapidly fading head. There’s a yeasty, bready malt aroma. The flavor is sweet, light malts with mild fruit accents and a bit of hops bitterness. It’s a quaffable brew but is underwhelming, which seems to be common with some other Pyramid beers I’ve had.
