2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 jgb9348 (3367) - Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA - APR 11, 2011
Hazy amber and copper coloured body with a thick nitrogenated white head that tops the beer nicely. Aroma of fresh hops, albeit not many of them with a good mild sweetness. Light to Medium-bodied; Pungent hop flavours show at first and diminish almost immediately with a little malt, some light caramel and nuttiness with a very subdued fruit note toward the end. Overall, an okay APA with a nitrogenated head which leaves little for complexity and honest flavours and more for the texture. I sampled this pint on draught at the Walnut Creek, California brewpub on 18-March-2011.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 8/20 Nena (957) - Seattle, Washington, USA - AUG 9, 2009
UPDATED: MAR 23, 2010 A light copper beer with a white head. My roommate ordered the non-nitrogenated version of this, which I tried a taste of, and it struck me that this beer does not benefit from the nitrogen. There is added smoothness, but I found it flattened the flavors a lot and killed whatever pizazz the original had. Creamy and easy to drink, but the flavor is rather watery, a little sweet, and only very slightly hoppy. Was definitely too low in hops for a pale ale.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 beerinmarch (2830) - Washington, USA - JAN 14, 2009
On tap at the PDX Green Dragon. Pours golden orange with a small white head. Pretty malty throughout, bready and soft caramel. Palate was a bit watery and finished bland. Overall just not enough hops to stand up against the pale ales in the area.
