2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 jhumphries69 (1035) - Tyrone, Georgia, USA - AUG 8, 2007
Pours a brilliant amber with orange and gold highlights and a thick off-white head that laces the glass. The aroma is very mild - hints of bread yeast and a slight touch of malt. The flavor is also very light - it starts off with some mild malts, a touch of toasted bread, and some very earthy, almost grassy, hops. The beer finishes very bitter from the spicey and earthy hops. The mouthfeel is flat and lifeless - I’m afraid to say that the nitrogen does nothing for this beer. Overall, one of the worst beers out of the sampler.

Flavor at first seems flat, probably from the nitrogen. Light and thin, there aren’t hardly any hops, except in the finish. Pretty disappointing.

Copper-red as advertised, and thirst quenching like most Pyramid ales, but lacking zing. Nice, easy hopping, and smooth, but highly forgettable.
2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 DYCSoccer17 (2734) - Woodland, California, USA - MAY 3, 2007
10 ounce sample tasted at the brewpub in Sacramento, CA. Also called "Draught Pale Ale". Citric, lemony-metallic bitter hop aroma. Some floral notes as well as some grainy malts are also present. Transparent copper body with some honey-colored hues present. Light yellow frothy head that is pretty decent. Strange, grainy, astringent start. Some roasted malts in the middle with some slight buttery diacetyl notes. Light herbal hop bitterness is present in the finish. Blegh, this just doesnt work. Astringency, lowly hopped, diacetyl mess.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Zinister (1417) - Houston, Texas, USA - JUL 9, 2006
Pyramid Brewery: Nice copper color....1/4" creamy head....probably because of the nitro. Creamy mouth feel with a little hops. Odd mineral taste that leaves the mouth a bit metallic.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 BeerLimey (2112) - California, USA - AUG 12, 2005
Brewpub: Clear bright reddish amber, creamy head (nitro for sure). Grainy malt aroma, slightly fruity. Smooth, malty palate, mildly citrussy in the finish. Maybe interesting if it wasn’t nitro, but otherwise pretty boring.
2.2 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20 AleDrinker (1090) - Sunnyvale, California, USA - FEB 25, 2004
Nice creamy white head, clear amber color.Aroma is lacking, but slightly malty. Flavor is much the same way, hops are completely absent. One good thing about this beer is that it does have a very nice texture, thanks to the nitro. Full-bodied. Very smooth for a pale, but not much else.
3.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Lebeter (11) - West Seattle, Washington, USA - FEB 13, 2004
It was interested to have the taste of a head familiar to the likes of guinness drought on this pale ale. There was no distinctive taste otherwise. Can't say it was very impressive.
