COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The standard by which all other wheat beers are judged. Our deliciously deranged American-Style Hefeweizen is an award winning take on this Bavarian classic. This refreshingly unfiltered wheat ale delivers a distinctively smooth flavor worth sharing with friends.

coppery with small head. it’s wheaty, but there’s little else going on. no distinct spices or fruit. i miss the banana esters especially, the wheatiness is pleasant but boring.

Aroma is apple/pear skin, a hint of fruit and yeast. The flavor is pear skin, fruit, wheat grain and a tart finish.

Rating #28 for 2012 12oz bottle chilled stem glass. Aroma all-spice warm apple pie. 1/4 inch head no lacing atop a bright golden colored ale. Very light taste of hints of spice and apple. High carbonation for a Hefeweizen finishes with a slight bite that was this beer’s biggest fault personally.

Labeled as just Hefeweizen. Typical Bavarian style hefe, solid look of a wheat ale, banana and bubblegum aroma and flavor. Nice thirst quencher.

Bottle. Pours hazy yellow-orange with a medium head that stays around for a while and some lacing. Aroma of wheat with a hint of banana. Wheaty flavor with very faint banana and lemon notes. Crisp finish with little aftertaste. Medium to full bodied. Not a bad offering. My bottle was labeled Pyramid Hefeweizen; no mention of "Haywire."

Thanks to Dad. Seems like a straight hefeweizen to me not a wheat ale. Orange-y color. On the fruitier end of the hefeweizen aroma and taste but not quite on the tart end. Not bad. Serving: Bottle

Pours a cloudy golden color with a small white head. Aroma of banana, clove, and wheat. Taste has same notes with yeast. Feels a bit watery. Drinkability is Ok.

Pours a glowing pale gold, hazy with substantial head. The nose is all cereal, banana and sweet cream. Very approachable. Those cereal bits really come through on the tongue. This beer certainly isn’t anything to write home about but it does its job and it drinks super easy. I can see myself buying a sixer of this when bonfire season rolls around.
