COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The standard by which all other wheat beers are judged. Our deliciously deranged American-Style Hefeweizen is an award winning take on this Bavarian classic. This refreshingly unfiltered wheat ale delivers a distinctively smooth flavor worth sharing with friends.

Malts:
39% 2 Row Pale Barley, 60% Malted Wheat, 1% Caramel

Hops:
Nugget, Liberty

Great for a hefe.

Quite good without having many true wheat qualities. This gets points because one night in Seattle I was exausted and asked for a ’flavourful american beer’. I got this and felt recouperated.

I rather liked this beer. Slightly bitter and hoppy, somewhat dry. The best part was the tasty and dry finish, it leaves you wanting more. Definitely earns a 5 on palate.

The quality of this beer has diminished over time. I was very disappointed. In previous years, I remember this to have been an outstanding beer. I wouldn’t buy it again.

A tinge of alcohol in the nose. Smooth start with a dirty, uncomplex front. Off tap, front is clean, nearly tasteless. Character not apparent until the relatively clean finish. Drinkable, but lacks the flavorful notes of an Edelweiss. Decent summer brew, but this is one of those beers that should really be had on tap. This rating is assuming a bottle tasting. A good 3.3 off tap.

pretty good, I like it without the lemon. I still do not get that. It is like putting steak sauce on a steak, you hide the flavor.

Fine cloudy golden color, very smooth taste, slightly bitter. This is a fine wheat beer but not a true hefeweizen.

Very little yeasty estery twang that is characteristic of most hefes. Light bodied with a slight hop bitterness. I may have to rerate this someday because the bartender put a lemon slice in it without me asking for it.
