2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
A mid golden orange coloured beer with a weak white head. A light cereal aroma, wheat, malt and oats, with a hint of smoke. Dry mouthfeel. A dry cereal taste, again of wheat, malt and oats, then there is a background sourness of hop. Nice but not a patch on the real thing.

Picked up Pyramid Hefeweizen at a local grocery craft beer section. Opened and poured into a glass. Has a yellow haze color. But has a not so pleasant smell. Taste was not so good either. Would not recommend.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Draught at Tap House, Seattle. Very hazy orange with a ring of white head. Big citrussy tones everywhere, but it’s almost like fruit on its way to decomposition rather than fresh. Must be the yeast working in strange ways. Carbonation feels high. A strange cousin to a German hefe, but OK.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
5oz taster on tap at Cincinnati Beer Fest. Hazy yellow orange color. Thin white head. Some bits and splotches of lace. Light to medium body. More soft carbonation. Dry finish. Flavor is very brief. Just a hint of clove, very little banana / vanilla. Kind of like the Widmer Hefe, in that it tastes like a generic American wheat beer, not very German-style, but this isn’t as bad as the Widmer was. Moderate sweet taste, light bitter, some metallic. This "hefeweizen" does not have much going for it.

2.1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Light wheat aroma, some lemon. Appearance is hazy apricot with small off white head. Taste is sweet malt, wheat, bit of apricot peach fruitiness. Palate is medium. Flat wheat lingers on the tongue with mild fruitiness. Overall a drinkable beer that is incredibly boring.

slightly expired (bi-lo)...light smell......very good taste that’s a little like a sour ale...just a little lighter..not sure if it’s suppose to be that way! Nice!

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Draught. Hazy orange, medium sized white head. Not much aroma, but flavours or citrus and wheat, with a little bit of spice in the mouth. Body is soft and a little bit doughy, but passable. Nothing outstanding happening here, but passable summer beer.

2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
355ml bottle: 16 days out of date when poured into one of my Franziskaner Weissbier glasses on 17 Aug 2013.
Looked just like it’s German brothers: cloudy yellow with a huge snowy white head, large amounts of carbonation bubbles rising through the body replenishing the head.
The aroma however was not like it’s brothers from Germany, this was just wheaty and grainy, no vanilla or banana esters to find at all.
Refreshing enough, but lacks flavour and depth. Mild hints of citrus notes, but not a lot of anything really.

2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
"deliciously deranged" is a correct description by Pyramid. This is a tart drink with citrus and wheat notes and not much aroma. Decent lacing. Yellow/orange hazy color. Kind of a bland flavor with a spicy/tart hit at the end. Not very easy to drink...if it is really cold it might be refreshing and I’d choose it over Budweiser....but that’s not saying much.
