COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The standard by which all other wheat beers are judged. Our deliciously deranged American-Style Hefeweizen is an award winning take on this Bavarian classic. This refreshingly unfiltered wheat ale delivers a distinctively smooth flavor worth sharing with friends.

I remember someone telling me that this was just an unfiltered version of the Wheaten Ale. That cannot be true, since that beer is quite good and this one is quite lifeless.

Bottle. It pours a lightly hazy body, golden in color and with a small, white head. It’s quite bananaish and lemoy on the nose, with some maltyness. The flavor is like a boring German hefeweizen, but not bad in any way. Wheat, banana, bubble gum and some lemon. Medium body, pleasant carbonation. Bubble gum and banana in the end. An easy drinkable one, bet it’s nice in the summer heat, but it’s too boring I think. 121110

pours with a healthy light-tan head above the traditional cloudy golden/orange body. Aroma is mildly sweet wheat, spicy (clove), and light citrus. Taste is watery lemon, hint of yeast. Where's the banana?!

Botella. Hazy orange like, medium rather short lasting white like head. Fruit wheaty soft aroma, mild banana. Ok mouthfeel. Rather mild flavour, fruitish wheaty, bit maltiness, mild bitterness. Hmm needs more in aroma and flavour.

GABF-on tap-pours a white head with yellow color. Taste is musty wheat, spicing.

Hazy yellow color, small white head, lace. Light banana aroma. Light to medium-bodied. Overriped banana, light citrus ... semi-sweet flavor. Quite classic style hefeweizen. Much better than top raters’ old ratings indicated.

Bottle. Frothy white good mostly lasting head. Yellow colour. Moderate malty and hoppy and yeasty aroma. Nice mango notes. Moderate bitter flavor. Some nice fruity notes. Moderate bitter average finish. Oily palate.

Aroma is bready/biscuity with a suspicion of lemon. Hazy orangy gold color with a white head that just filmed. Medium bodied. Definite wheat malt. Some light lemon. The banana is truly hard to find. There’s a bit of citrus sour, and the finish has enough bitter to salvage the product. A big Bavarian banane it’s not. An American wheat it is.

Bottle 12 oz. Cloudy pale amber with small head. Very little aroma. Medium to light body with smooth wheat texture. Medium flavor of citrus and malt with a small bitter finish. Below average for style.
