2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle. Overall Decent. I agree there are better hefes out there. Pour is golden/orange, very little head. Looks almost sickly. Much better out of the tap than bottle. Average hefeweizen. Nothing special, nothing awful.

This is an ok hefe, nothing too special, but very drinkable. There are others out there that are much better.

Bottle. Pours a nice golden-orange, cloudy color. NIcely refreshing with mild lemony flavor.

1.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20
Unimpressive color, almost see thru. You've already read sour, thats the only way to describe it. Sour, with a citrus thrown on top. A hideously confusing mouthfeel, carbonation killing all distinct flavors. Left with a sweet middle, sour finish with a hint of citrus to throw off the unknowing drinker. A crime of a brew.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
This beer starts out looking alright but ends up falling short on everything in my opinion. Aroma is pretty typical for a Hefe, but still has a watery, hollow quality. Taste gave a similar experience. Finish seems alright as well, but then gives a long wateriness followed by a slight hop flavor, then more long water aftertaste. Overall it seems alright, but with a little thought and careful tasting I realized it just comes up short all around.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
22.5 oz bottle. Good cloudy pour into my litre mug. Full of ester of yeast, apricots and orange. No banana or clove in the smell. Medium head, seems fizzy and soapy, not dense. Swirled the yeast and poured it in. A bright hefe weizen, with good head retention. Super smooth and wet mouth feel. Perfect Bavarian hop tartness that hides behind a massive celebration of malts. Hints of coriander and orange/apricot in the finish, no clove (which is desired). Very refreshing. The body is fluffy and full of dense, warm bread at the same time. It’s bold yet light. Perfect balance between the wheat malt and lingering barley sweetness. I noticed that the carbonation fades with time (1/2 hr) and lets the hops close the deal on the palate rather than fizz. Sweet, tart and aromatic all at the same time. A wonderfully crafted beer. It’s not a Bavarian copy cat or an over hopped "American" style Weizen. It’s a well planned and complex brew. Well done.

It’s decent, but better hef’s have been done. I find this one a little too bitter and ’empty tasting’ for a hef - try red hook, or hacker pschorr weiss.

I really wasn't impressed with this beer at at the brewery off the tap, nor from the bottle. It poured nice enough, but for my taste it isn't a high ranker. I miss the lemon taste that it is supposed to have.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Slightly cloudy wheat beer. Good from bottle or tap, but needs that lemon slice to help it along. Doesn’t stand on its own like a Franziskaner.
