The standard by which all other wheat beers are judged. Our deliciously deranged American-Style Hefeweizen is an award winning take on this Bavarian classic. This refreshingly unfiltered wheat ale delivers a distinctively smooth flavor worth sharing with friends.

UPDATED: JAN 23, 2008 Pours hazy golden with a fully receding white head. Very mild aroma of wheat with a little hint of citrus. Taste is sweaty yeast. Not bad, not good. Another boring beer from a generally unexciting style.

Bottle poured a cloudy gold with a lingering white head. Aromas of yeast, bread and a hint of clove. Palate was light bodied and smooth. Flavors of wheat, yeast and a bit of sourness with a smooth, clean finish.

oz. twist cap brown bottle with a blurb about the Hefe Weizen on the neck label and no freshness date. Had a promising appearance, poured a cloudy dirty copper golden with a large frothy, rocky white head that slowly reduced to a thin bubbly, sticky ringed lacing. Had a stale, funky banana yeasty aroma with whiffs of a distant breadiness and lemons. Good carbonation and a slick medium bodied mouth feel, around average drinkability. Had a watery wheat malty taste with a stale yeastiness and a sour, semi-crisp lemony finish and a strange metallic flavor in the aftertaste.

The 12 ounce bottle poured a slightly hazy copper colored beverage with a small fizzy head that quickly and completely disappeared leaving no lacing on the glass. The aroma was rather unpleasant, smelling like dirty sox. The body was medium-light with lively carbonation and a slightly oily texture. The flavor started off lightly sweet. This sweetness fades gradually during the medium length finish and is eventually replaced with a light bitterness.

(draft @ Centrifuge in MGM Grand Hotel and Casino - Las Vegas, NV) Cloudy orange pour with a puffy white head. Smell is very light with just wheat. Not much spice or orange in it. Flavor tastes almost exactly like a lager. Very watery and not much flavor. Definitely a wheat ale rather than a hefe.

draft at DFW airport bar. decent head, decent aroma of banana and grass, but I found the taste lacking compared to other hefes.

Pours a cloudy yellow. No foam. Aroma is faint, hint of citrus. Flavor is... nonexistent? To say this is bland and weak would be an understatement. Very disappointing.

Typically generic and poor tasting American wheat beer. Light golden pour, bland taste of wheat with a light bit of banana and orange. Very thin mouthfeel.

Bottle. Poured cloudy orange with thick white head. Somewhat sour aroma, with a bit of clove. Rather bland flavour. Little bit of wheatiness, little bit of spice, nothing in sufficiency. Bland unmemorable finish. Commonplace beer.

Banana, wheat, citrus, and some lemon in this but all of the flavor and smell is muted. The pour is a pale pale yellow with hardly any head. This is really only a good, cheap sixer but I can think of better things to put down my gullet.
