COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The standard by which all other wheat beers are judged. Our deliciously deranged American-Style Hefeweizen is an award winning take on this Bavarian classic. This refreshingly unfiltered wheat ale delivers a distinctively smooth flavor worth sharing with friends.

Pours a cloudy gold with a small white head and lacing. It has an aroma of biscuit with small amounts of clove and banana. The flavor is slightly spicy clove and biscuit flavor with a stronger clove and biscuit finish over a medium body. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pretty solid. Doesn’t have that slightly soapy taste that some cheap hefeweizens get. Good wheat taste and very refreshing.

A tinge of alcohol in the nose. Smooth start with a dirty, uncomplex front. Off tap, front is clean, nearly tasteless. Character not apparent until the relatively clean finish. Drinkable, but lacks the flavorful notes of an Edelweiss. Decent summer brew, but this is one of those beers that should really be had on tap.

Hazy brew. Bready yeast aroma. Too sweet though hops are slightly noticable at the end and help balance it somewhat. Tastes of breast yeast. Light carbonation is attractive though.

I’m not sure what makes a hefeweizen "American style" - but I suspect in this case that is a bit more on the hops.

Aroma has a fruity sweetness. Appearance is orange and very cloudy with almost no head. Taste is sweet with a bit of hop but not much and not lasting, wheat character but not too much. Palate is very watery.

Definitely a good summer beer. Very sweet at first, but halfway through you get used to it. The overall score for this beer seems lower than it should be. This isn't a 2.3 beer, it just isn't a hoppy IPA (which I love, that just isn't what it is). Change your expectations; to quote Howard Kremer, "Have a summa'." ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
