Commercial Description:
Skillfully brewed with over 60% wheat malt (Bavarian tradition only calls for 50%), Pyramid's Northwest style Hefeweizen has a smooth body and a cloudy golden color. This crisp refreshing beer is unfiltered for extra flavor.

Tap @ Safeco Field. Mariners vs Yankees, Brendan Morrow almost gets a no-hitter against the Yankees. What a great game. Too bad the beer sucked.

Bottle: Pours a golden nectar-like color with a thin white head. This is a very good looking hefeweizen. The aroma is rather flat. Standard notes of citrus zest and sweetness. Very refreshing beer. Tastes like an average hefe. Its not bad, nor very good. I wouldn’t turn one down if offered but I wouldn’t seek this one out either.

this pint poured by ayn rand loving bartender - john’s - steep recommendation. pyramid hefe pours with a riverbed sediment heavy yellowish-orange hue. visually swirling citrus notes darken as outer lights descend through the glass. aroma proclaims divine purpose of the lemon peel - bright and floral and yellow. i sip with high expectancy. the hazy citrus appearance infuses thick clouds of breakfast beverage flavor. i want to drink this beer early in the day - maybe with a coffee and eggs benedict. orangey aftertaste does not offend the initial refreshment or disturb the beer-at-six-AM fantasy. i would drink this beer in the morning before work if i could find the right job. my first - not last - pyramid offering.

A weird combination of right on target and totally average. Appearance is standard while nicely cloudy, aroma is non-existent, flavor is smooth but not excellent. Usual notes of wheat, yeast, lemon. I only drink it on tap though.

Pours a glowing orange and hay colored, with a quickly dissipating head. A taste of orange citrus, though vanishingly small. Cool and refreshing without being overly complex, would be considered a good table wine if it were a wine. But as it’s a beer, it’s only worth ordering when there’s nothing better available. Still, it’s a solid beer.
