8/14/2010. From bottle. Amber color with a white head. Caramel aromas with malt and hops. A bit more hoppy than your average amber, but still a bit plain.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Rated on 9-05-2009 (Crown Liquors Event-Bottle) This beer forms a small off-white head that mostly diminished, transparent orange body, very little carbonation, and one ring of lacing. The Aroma is caramel malt, citrus and pine hops. The Taste mimics the Aroma along with some bitterness. This beer has a short dry finish. The Palate is semi-fizzy and this beer is medium bodied. Overall, this beer is easy to drink, not overly hoppy tasting and worth trying.

3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
12 oz bottle poured into a pint glass. Pours nice dark amber with an orangish tint and medium thick off white head. Aroma is sweet mild caramel malt. Taste is assertive caramel malt followed by earthy bitter hops. Well balanced. Not a beer I’d necessarily seek out, but a nice everyday red (or amber, I guess).

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
from a 22 oz bottle purchased at Ridleys in McCall, IIdaho this poured a red copper color with a big foamy beige head. Nose of roasted malt and a good dose of floral hops. Medium body with lively mouthfeel. Flavor is roasted malt and lots of loral and /citrus hops. Finish is malty but bitter hops hand on. Nice easy drinking beer.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Medium bodied. Copper pour into the glass with decent white head. Nice malt presence on the nose with touches of earthy hops. Caramel malts on the palate with a decent hop balance. I don’t know how I feel about the hops being there with this beer. I typically view "red" styles of brew to be all about the malts but this is a nice change of pace.

A copper, slight reddish ale with a nice aroma of malt and hops. On the hoppy side, but with good balance. Slightly bitter aftertaste, but overall a pleasant beer.
