3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Unfortunately the last beer of my night at Pyramid in Sacramento. Waitress mentioned it in the end and it wasnt on the menu.
Light amber color, medium head that lingered a bit. Not much lacing. Aroma of sweet malt. A bit grainy tasting initially, filled out with sweet malt finish. Very nice

3.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Poured from a bottle into a pint glass. The color was honey caramel, which always is a plus in my bet. Just about a finger of head. Minimal lacing that dissipated quickly. Some wet film on the sides.
Was kind of digging the smell. Got some toffee, caramel and chocolate. Pretty malty.
First taste was malts. Seemed to be toffee and caramel. Also got a bit skunky at the end.
Medium body. Slick texture. Lively (above average) carbonation. Watery finish.
Would have liked it to be more malty, but it wasnít too bad. Iíd give it another go.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pyramid Maibock is a very lively amber lager that seems to have a slight haze. The light khaki head is solid, smooth and waxy and has outstanding retention and lacing. It has a bready, malty aroma with a hint of sweetness. Itís medium light bodied and quick on the tongue. The finish is dry and very clean. It has a nicely balanced flavor, malty but not sweet. The bitterness comes in toward the finish. Itís ample and wooden, but not resiny. There almost seems to be a hint of fruit in the aftertaste. Itís not super interesting, but itís solid and well crafted and goes down with great ease.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Probably the best beer I've had from Pyramid. Medium amber color with a full head. Clean, malty aroma with a touch of roast. Great malty flavor. Subtle hop presence. Slight graininess. Nice beer.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from Rite Aid: Created a thick soapy lather of foam head while a dense brass colored liquid rested below. As for the aroma, a mild nose of honey, wheat bread, oat while a touch of grapefruit citrus comes through. The flavor brings out more of the bitter hops and taste of a waxy lemon peel, grapefruit juice, and a soft malt profile in backing it all up. Decent impy IPA considering it was brewed by Pyramid.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle from BevMo. Nose is somewhat grainy, with a little bit of a grassy hop aroma. Good malt backbone. A hint of sweetness. Decent hoppiness as well. Better than expected. I thought it would be really sweet. Iím glad it isnít.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours hazy amber with a dense, cream-colored head. Malty caramel aroma. Taste adds some spicy hop notes. Clean finish. Not bad at all.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
A - Pours a fairly clear copper-orange with a finger of frothy white head . The head fades down at a normal pace leaving behind some lacing.
S - Aroma is a mix of caramel and bready malts with some noble hop, some lemon, and a bit of grain.
T - Starts off with some caramel and bready malts with some noble hops and a touch of bitterness. Through the middle, a bit more noble and grassy hop comes through with a bit of lemon. The finish is a mix of sweet malts with some noble hop and some grains.
M - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Feels smooth with a sweet and dry finish.
D - Very drinkable. Well balanced, but feels just a bit thin and could have used a touch more of a kick.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
bottle-looks like they resurrected this one for a new spring seasonal-pours lite copper hue with a foamy slightly soapy white head that was pretty smooth. nose of sweet grains, carmel, and toasted notes. flavors of toasted gain husks, lite spice, mineral aspects, lite spicy hops but alot of carmel malt toasted notes which make this pretty pleasant, even though i didnt give it the highest rating. long sweet toasted notes finish with lingering lite bitterness. A decent offering from Pyramid

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle:   Copper tinted orange, clear, thin to moderate white head, frothy, light lacing.   Mealy nose,
otherwise mild sweetened straw and hay.   Seems a little dank.   Sweet and smooth mealy hay/straw like flavors up
front.   Touch of salt in there too.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate, albeit it feels a little heavier than others.
Fnishes quick, a little bit of that straw/hay lingers.   Tiz okay, but mealier and less bright than others.
But, it is Pyramid after all and not some Bavarian brewery.
