1.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 Wanja (322) - Bavaria, GERMANY - JAN 31, 2013
On tap at Pyramid Alehouse, Seattle... Boring taste... Everything, but not an Oktoberfest beer...
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 demmbonz (302) - Wisconsin, USA - DEC 5, 2012
12oz bottle to mini-dimple. Deep brown-amber. Huge pillowy white head that keeps coming. Mild aroma with a little bitter bite. Bready and malty with a little sweetness.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 wlajwl (2901) - Quad Cities, Iowa, USA - NOV 30, 2012
Aroma is spices and a hint of vegetables. The flavor is malts and a mix of spices/vegetables all the way into the finish.
3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Elwood (2493) - Leesburg, Virginia, USA - NOV 24, 2012
Serving: 12 oz. bottle from State Line Liquors. It pours a hazy brownish amber with a thick head of light tan foam. The nose has some toasted malt and light leafy hop notes. The flavor has a brash up front bitterness that seems at odds with the the toasted malt and a light caramel notes. High carbonation and a long bitter finish seem to make this brew rough around the edges. Certainly not the best Oktoberfest I’ve had.
3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 crhensel (97) - New Jersey, USA - NOV 22, 2012
Poured a deep copper with a very thin off-white head. Nose was very malty with a ht of spice, mainly a little nutmeg and clove. Taste was overall a little bitter with the spice playing in toward the end. Not a bad, but not a remarkable beer either.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 BillKismet (3000) - Seattle, Washington, USA - NOV 13, 2012
Amber body with a rocky and foamy beige top. Lightly sweet nose, soft with crystal and vienna grains and a trace of corn. Slippery smooth with a pleasant amber malt grain base and a gentle toastiness. Quite even-tempered and balanced. A fine seasonal Oktoberfest. Flavorful and in the easy drinking tradition.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 brenn79 (1198) - Idaho, USA - NOV 3, 2012
12 oz. bottle- Pours cloudy autumn orange with a thin off white head. Aroma is light caramel malt, more hops in here than I was expecting, it smells like fresh cut grass. The taste is that signature Oktoberfest malty dry taste, smooth, caramel malts. I am actually impressed with this one, I was kind of putting it off assuming it was going to be a sub standard boring beer from Pyramid, but this is a good interpretation I think.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Onenote81 (1002) - Winston-Salem, North Carolina, USA - OCT 30, 2012
12oz bottle poured into a pint glass. Pours a deep rusty garnet with a thin foamy white cap. Mild lace left behind. The nose is sweet and bready. Notes of caramel, coffee cake, light mineral aromas. Decent body. Moderate heft with ample carbonation. Light bubble play on the tongue.
This beer is a bounty of sweet malts, as expected with this style. The flavors are all pronounced, rather than muted as many of this genre can be. Big flavors of toffee, biscuits, and a mild fruity quality closes it out. The flavors all work together, making this a well-balanced beer. A good Marzen that I’d get again for sure.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 nuplastikk (3284) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - OCT 29, 2012
12oz bottle. Chille haze subsides and leads to a translucent copper orange body. Thin, oily off-white head. Mellow, malty aroma, some faint spicy noble hops. West Coast Marzen, rather big malt body, and uncharacteristic soapy hops. A decent enough beer, fresh, no off flavors.
