2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pours a dark amber color with a medium tan head tan head with good lacing. Smells of bread and cereal and caramel. Tastes the same as it smells with more hops than a normal octoberfest style beer. Mouthfeel is light with a dry finish. Just a run of the mill octoberfest beer in my opinion.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a mostly clear deep copper with a reddish tinge, large creamy off white head, great retention and small bits of lace. Aroma is rich maltiness, toasted malts, but kinda clean lagerish. Flavour is sweet maltiness, toasted malts, moderate hop bitterness, earthy and a bit grassy.

Bottle. Ok let’s just say it, Marzen style just isn’t that great. However, I thought this was not bad and underrated. Nice amber color, strong malt backbone in the nose and palate. Somewhat creamy and a nice bitter bite in the finish.

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
On tap at Northern Lights cinema in Nampa. Nice amber color with a little off white head. Malty up front with some unexpected sweetness that finished with some bitter tones. The sweet through me off a bit, a little unusual and not expected in this style.

3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Okay copper body but barely any head to speak of. Fun malty/caramel aroma that grows on me, in fact I quite like it. Flavour is a strong malt with a hint of dry wood on the end. Highly drinkable, probably intended to be drunk by the litre. Upon litre.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle from Brewforia, medium amber with nice high creamy head. Malt dominates the aroma and taste, as is the norm for the style. Some nutty remnants linger on the palate. Decent festbier from the NW.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Light aroma: Caramel malt/sweet. Sweet flavor, with caramel malt--which is not as prominent as in the aroma. Apple-ish fruit. A little bit of roast. Lingering bitterness--which is kind of harsh, but there’s not a ton of it.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
A orange peel color with spice and hops on the nose. It takes like their apricot with less sweetness and more hops. Not really a normal Octoberfest beer, a bit too hoppy for the category without the spices. Not bad though

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft at the Oakland Brewhouse. Pours hazy medium brown with a frothy beige head. Tastes malty and doughy, like grains, nuts, slightly sweet. Medium body and carbonation. Smells musky and malty.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 8/20
Pours a beautifully clear light amber with golden highlights, a thick cap of light tan foam that is densely formed. Some sulfur in the nose along with toast, slightly sweet, and slightly bready. No distinguishable hop presence. Tastes like a decent marzen beer, there’s a bit of fruity esters from the yeast and some malt esters as well. Nutty, toasty. Dark fruit comes in at the end of the taste. Not as richly malty as most import Oktoberfests and it really treads closer to Vienna Lager in terms of malt-body. Bitterness is unspecific but smooth. Overall a drinkable Marzen beer that lacks the extra oomph that would separate it from the pack.
