3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Aroma: clean in lager way malty feel, herbal , tad spicy hop notes as backing. Balanced and with good character.
Look: fine (chill?) haze on amber with creamy medium top.
Taste: medium full bodied with lighter finsh. Bitter hops up front , chewy texture with malty walls. Slight nutty , peppery hop finish. Good , but not most traditional Oktoberfest you might have.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle:   Tawny amber, moderate frothy sandy head, nice lacing.   Looks decent enough.   Soft bready malts, a touch of nuts and old christmas fruit cake.   Bready on the tongue, fairly smooth, but a little metallic and astringent on the backside.   Finish isn’t terribly smooth.   Seems unfinished and a little raw.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Despite being only 6.7%, it feels like some medicinal heat after the finish.   Looks good, but certainly fools ya when you get it on your tongue.

Bottle. Mostly clear amber pour with a decent small frothy head. Some dusty caramel malts but the lager yeast is coming through pretty strong. Not a great beer.
