Bottle pours copper with an off-white head. Aroma shows notes of caramel, honey, and light citrus. Flavor shows pretty much the same. Not bad, just not all that interesting. Overall body is moderate with moderate to heavy bitterness.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours crystal clear copper with a rocky off-white head. The aroma has lots of citrus hops that are heavier to orange than grapefruit along with some tropical fruit and funk. There is just enough caramel toasty malt to balance the hops. Medium grainy body with a good amount of semi-soft carbonation. The taste is much like the aroma predicted with a good amount of Simcoe represented. Really nice balance. Finish is lightly resiny, bit of sweetness and overall really pleasant. This was a nice surprise. For a line priced six pack IIPA this is hard to beat.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bright copper hued straw body. Suprisingly mild malt backbone characterized by toasted, bready malts with caramel accents - simple yet well constructed. Sharp hop character with the requisite oily grapefruit and pine sap that trickles is resins from top to bottom. Slight astringent punch to the throat at the finish. Heavy lifting for Pyramid but it payed off.

Honestly wonderful aroma, I could just smell the beer for hours. Flavor is a bit heavy handed, but with the alcohol content as high as it is, it needs it. I waver between just liking this beer a lot and wanting to marry it and have kids together. A serious value for what you get, but needs to be drunk in small quantities or that’s exactly what you’ll end up - drunk.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Colour... amber-orange with a thick head. Nose... decidedly hoppy and leaning towards the piney side of hops. Palate... sweet hops with plenty of pine, grapefruit, sugar sirop and quince all leading to a lengthy dry yet cloying finish. Damn fine DIPA, and one helluva value!

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Massive resinous, spruce flavors impart a chewy, thick aroma. Deep copper color with lasting off white head. Dank, pine mixed with faint grapefruit and a very dry finish. Medium mouthfeel but hop oils make it seem a bit thicker. Very good DIPA - drinkable but zaps your palate with hops. Not too filling - you could easily have a few. Smooth and flavorful.
