4.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Big beer! Poured this at a good temperature with a large, thickl, foamy, frothy, light tan head that settled after a bit and some lace. Color is a clear honey amber with loads of bubble trails. Aroma is firstly hoppy, then malty and on the subdued side especially for as brash a beer as this. Flavor has a lot more going on tho it too, is dominated by hop and followed by malt. Fairly dry, and the carbonic tang is just right. Body is perfect. Finish is very long and bitter.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Hazed orange-somewhat darkish orange.good head,some lacing.
Big fruit aroma, wanna say grapefruit but its more exotic or tropical like. Its very pronounced for a fruit aroma, cant put my finger on what exactly. Its just a really vivid aroma.
Taste is smooth malty balanced sweetness, same character as aroma with hop flavors, mildly herbal/grassy. Grapefruity bitter finish, smooth slight alcohol dry in finish. Some buttery caramel underneath fruity hops.Very good beer.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle @ home, picked up at Wilbur’s Fort Collins. Pours a clear, golden orange appearance with a cream colored head. Fairly spicy, grapefruity, a bit piney hoppy, boozy aroma. Quite sweet malty, sugary, citrusy, grapefruity, spicy hoppy, herbal, quite boozy, light garlic flavor. I’m not a big fan.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle from Village Wine and Spirits in Athens. Strong fortified sort of caramel nose. Light copper/orange color, not much head. Maly heavy initial, not overly sweet but definitely strong / alcohol is quite apparent in mid palate, and then we detect a sickly sort of sweetness / finish gets a shot of sweetness and then it descends into alc. and some moderate bitterness. Medium body. Seems rather unattenuated. Not totally unpleasant but certainly not a very tasty imperial IPA.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
The Pyramid pours as an orange/brown beer with substantial head. The aroma has much hops; mainly floral with some citrus. As I sip, I notice more hops and some malt. There is some sweetness, but it is not overpowering. The palette is quite refreshing; there is some rye aftertaste. This is definitely a good IPA.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
Aroma of grapefruit and lemon zest. Copper/crimson with a thin foam. Nice, strong hop profile with some hinted citrus/mango. Body is sweet caramel and molasses leaving a slightly thick finish. Overall, Very impressed with this one from Pyramid. Nice hop bitterness with a smooth, full malty body and nice alcohol presence. I’d give this one an A rating.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Really nice to see Pyramid on the Cincy beer scene again! Where have you guys been? I couldn’t even find the hefeweizen around town! Back to the beer; it is excellent. Don’t really need to say more. Dry-hopped perfectly, with considerable malt sweetness for balance. Damn nice showing.

3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours cloded brown-orange with a short, light tan head.
Aroma is candied orange (peel)....malt.
Taste turns more to a piney bitter, resiny and peachy.
Nice bittering, but the sweetness skews the whole thing a little bit.
I wish it had a sharper edge.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a hazy golden orange from the bottle with a fluffy white head that dissipates to leaves light lacing. Aroma of west coast hops, piney and floral with hints of citrus, a slight pale and caramel malt backbone. The taste is a bitter mishmash of hops, ends malty and funky. Could be a bit more balanced, but otherwise pretty solid DIPA.
