2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle from Village Wine and Spirits in Athens. Strong fortified sort of caramel nose. Light copper/orange color, not much head. Maly heavy initial, not overly sweet but definitely strong / alcohol is quite apparent in mid palate, and then we detect a sickly sort of sweetness / finish gets a shot of sweetness and then it descends into alc. and some moderate bitterness. Medium body. Seems rather unattenuated. Not totally unpleasant but certainly not a very tasty imperial IPA.

Bottle pours copper with an off-white head. Aroma shows notes of caramel, honey, and light citrus. Flavor shows pretty much the same. Not bad, just not all that interesting. Overall body is moderate with moderate to heavy bitterness.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Picked this up to fill out a mixed sixer and I was a little surprised that I actually liked it. Nice orange color, not much head. Smells like hops but nothing overpowering. Taste is nice, bubblegum, pine, mint, alcohol, a hint of malts in the back. The alcohol is a little astringent on the tongue but for $1.69 this was a decent DIPA that I might buy again.

Tap @ Pyramid Taphouse - OAK airport: Clear, dark copper color with not much of a head. Aromas of hay, grapefruit and a little grass with fresh dew on it. The flavors are not offensive with some perfumy hops as well as some musty wet notes. Full body with a creamy feel. Certainly not the best 2IPA, but not bad.
