COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Ignition Series #2
Outburst Imperial IPA is a high-impact workout for the senses. A crafty combination of four different hops, and a dose of dry hopping, powers Outburst to 80 IBU strong. Its bold profile offers an aroma reminiscent of the Northwest hop fields at harvest time, along with spicy overtones of fresh citrus. Seeking a harmonious balance to the hop overload, we’ve blended four different specialty malts to create a distinctive deep amber hue and sweet caramel and roasty flavors.

Hazey amber body with a short but thick crown. Crisp floral hops, citrus, hints of pine, malts? Fuck the malts who needs them. Aroma a touch to mild. Taste is better, resin, pine, flowers, nice ballance. Earth and toast like malts, sweet yet bitter lingering finish. Good brew, lower end IIPA.

Sweet caramel, cotton candy, pineapples and pine in aroma. Ruby copper with small head. Medium bitterness with notes of tropical fruit in taste. Pretty decent ipa, something different.

This was a very strong beer it had a nice upfront kick that really was strong but didn't go all the way through the beer to take it over. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Pours a hazy deep amber. Minimal head. Aromas of sweet malt, a touch of corn, and hops. Taste is of buttered biscuits, citrus hops, a touch of pine, and a nicely smooth finish. ABV is noticeable only very late in the palate. A nice beer. Not great, but so few are.

On tap. Pours a hazy amber with a beige head and good lacing. Smells fruity pineapple and earth. Tastes fruity and tangy, not your standard NW DIPA. Nice level of bitterness and a good fruity aftertaste that lasts the right about of time.

22-ounce bottle in a pint glass. Fairly typical high-alcohol IPA, rather bitter.

Yum. Not my fave IIPA, but gets the job done. ABV not noticeable, which is great if you want go havesies with your best friend.

Hazy amber, small beige head. Piney and citrusy aroma with caramel as well. Lots of pine, resin, grapefruit, toasty malt, grassiness from the dry hopping. Medium to full bodied and oily. Not bad, but the heavy use of chinook for bittering gives it excessive harshness.

Bottle from Portland supermarket. Dark amber body with medium head. Nose is floral, hoppy, toasty. Taste of hops and fruits and apples. Thin texture.

bottle. Poured hazy deep amber with a thinner off-white head. Citrusy hop aroma. Medium body, a bit oily with a tart-dry finish. Sweet caramel malt flavour, notes of orange peel, piney hops with some pepper. Not overly dry as expected from the deScription but nice, alcohol well hidden.
