Pyramid Pale Ale is a rich copper colored brew that is generously hopped with the Northwest’s famous Cascade hops for a truly refreshing finish. Our inaugural Pyramid beer, Pale Ale was the first beer ever brewed in 1984 under the Pyramid family of ales.

Amber red appearance with a quickly diminishing off-white head. Has a nutty taste in front with a hint of malt. The cascades appear in the back. Very drinkable and worth the 4.99 I paid for a sixer at Peace St. Market.

Pours a deep copper color with a thin head that vanishes almost as soon as it forms. Carmel malt nose, with some nuttieness and faint hops. Flavor was kind of sweet, (apple juice), with a nice hop finish.

Very competent ale. Up front nose of malt, benchmark copper coloring, full top-o-the-tongue cascade hop bitterness. My bottle tonight had a disappointing head that disappeared rapidly.

not really special. pours out a copper color with a thick white head. aroma is not bad, taste is ok. this isnt the best but by far not the worst either. my bottle said enjoy by 4/3/03 maybe that has something to do with it since you dont know how good of care the retail stores give to beers. goes down easy though.

This is just a standard pale ale. Got some malt character, some hop character, but nothing special really going on here. Nothing bad about it, but nothing good either. Unimpressed.

Coppery color, off-white head. Sweet malty nose. Opens sweet and malty closes with a hoppy bite that stays around. A good drinking beer.

A nice American hop nose, coming off a very pretty amber ale. The flavor is a good blend of malt and hop, but lacking in an ale-like yeast charecter. Still a good drinking beer, if somewhat uninspired.

3fourths (7855) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - JAN 13, 2004
Dark copper color with a very large head which clings to the glass for a long time. Nose is a musty, nutty Fall-like hop aroma. Pale and bland throughout with some old apple and pear flavor, and a bit of biting hops towards the end. Drinkable but not very flavorful.

   AROMA 8/10   APPEARANCE 5/5   TASTE 6/10   PALATE 3/5   OVERALL 13/20
Braudog (5574) - Hampton, Virginia, USA - NOV 23, 2003
Reddish amber with thin head, but higly active. Citric aroma. Fresh and dry fruity flavor. Gets blander as you go. This is an OK American pale, but nothing spectacular to make it stand out at all.

Pale Ale is not one of my favorite categories, but this one really impressed me. Tawny in color with hints of hops and a pinch of sweetness on the nose. Surpirsingly smooth with a dry, slightly frutiy taste with hints of vanilla.
