3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Cannot believed I have not reviewed this one... Picked up at the COOP tonight... Pours a clear dark/darker mahogany.. short lived dark tan head... spotty lacing.
Nose is dark toast and some dark pit fruit... a bit of plum/red grape.. hints of cocoa.
Flavor mirrors the nose with a decent punch of piney hops.. okay.. but underwhelming.
Medium/full body but balanced by a slightly bigger than expected carbonation.... Glad I only bought one.. this used to be a go-to for me every winter, but it seems to have definitely lost it’s shine in my eye.

3.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Growler from the brewery in Seattle. Pours reddish brown with thick creamy light mocha head. Aroma is sweet toffee and oaky malt. Taste is thin dark caramel malt with restrained sweetness. Mild earthy bitterness. Big flavor relative to somewhat thin body. Doesn’t seem like 7%. Smooth, easy finish. Easily one of Pyramid’s best beers and one of the better winter warmers. Super Snow Cap has more of everything, and is a personal favorite, but this is plenty tasty.

2.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Serving type: bottle
Appearance- Dark Ruby Brown with quick disappearing tan head that left a little bit on top of the beer sticky lacing.
Aroma- A some what sweet malty spice aroma
T/P - A spicy sweet taste initial very warming which I like. Left a slight hop bitter after taste which for me somewhat detracts from the beer. Mouth fell is very welcoming except for the aftertaste.
Overall- Not the best winter brew out there a little too bitter at the end ruins the whole beer for me

3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
A very nice brew overall. ABV at 7% makes it very drinkable for two or three. Pairs with most types of food w/o overwhelming them.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
This pours a medium amber brown color with a pretty big foamy head, so this bottle might be a little over fermented. The aroma is a mixture of malts and spices. Lots of spices in the beginning that turn into a bitter finish. A little too much carbonation behind this which is probably because if the age.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
A bit too heady. Malty brown ale like smell. Tastes a bit of chocolate. Not getting much spice. Mostly get a full flavored brown ale? But pretty enjoyable at that. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Better than most English English strongs. Alcoholic, nutty, with a nice balance. Malty at the beginning, with bitter hop ending.
