3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Subtle hops on the aroma. Deep amber brown in color with a thin foam rim. Deep, smokey flavors of roasted nuts, cloves, burnt caramel and leafy hops. Alcohol is well masked. Overall, this is a medium bodied beer with some nice balance. Iíd give this a B- rating.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Really solid winter warmer - super easy drinking and flavorful, but not a palate challenger. Malty, mild dark fruit, and just a hint of spice. Good stuff.

Pours clear dark red with a tall tan head. Aroma is malty, cherry. Taste is pretty much hthe same with a little sweetness, some spicy hops in the finish. Palate is a little thin for the style.

3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
12-oz. bottle into a pint glass at my house on Oct. 7, 2012 (purchased at BevMo in La Mesa (San Diego, Calif.) as part of a winter variety 12-pack for $15.99 (with card) on Oct. 5, 2012). Dark, mahogany with two fingers of khaki tan head. Below average retention all-around.
Smelled roasty nuts, toffee, caramel and chocolate. Really comes together nicely.
Tasted a bit darker overall than the smell. A lot more bitter as well. Got roasty nuts, dark chocolate, smoky fire, wood, ash, toffee, coffee, coffee beans and caramel.
Full body. Slick texture. Average carbonation. Long, bitter finish.
I was a bit disappointed with this beer after liking the Chai Wheat so much. It just didnít really do anything for me. Iíve had some better winter warmer styles.

Brown in color with a decent after taste. Though there is a prodominant bitter flavor. good body/mouthfeel raise it above a "6/10".

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
The aroma is spices and complex, hard to describe. The flavor is spices, fruit tartness and a dry finish. Hard to describe, very good overall.
