Winter Warmer. A rich, full-bodied winter warmer crafted in the British tradition of holiday beers. This deep mahogany colored brew balances complex fruit flavors with a refreshingly smooth texture.

12 ounce bottle. Pour leaves a dark brown ale with a half-inch tan head. The aroma is rich caramel, slight chocolate, mild spices. Pseudo-chocolate flavor on initial draught is almost instaneously replaced with a slightly bitter "wet wood bark" flavor. The "wet wood bark" is not as overpowering as Snow Plow, but is not altogether pleasant, either. Slight disconnect between the aroma and the flavor. If the flavor were just slightly adjusted this might be somewhat good. The flavor did increase slightly over the course of my meal, so perhaps this was a bad bottle...

Very deep red color, full malty aroma in start then a pleasant blast of hops, slight fruit in first intial flavor with complex malt flavors and hoppy taste. Very big palate, greta brew

I like this winter brew. I would rate it just ahead of the middle of the pack but not the pick of the litter for 2007. Deep rich color...fluffy head...good balance of spices to warm you on a cool evening.

A true winter warmer, dark amber color from raosted malts also lend to the rich malty flavor, fruit/floral hop flavor and enough kick to keep you warm on the coldest day on the slopes!

2004 vintage. Nice beer, Big english hop flavor balanced (although not perfectly) with some roasted malts. Nice to drink, but not a real thinker beer.

Deep reddish brown ale with a tan head. Aroma of caramel, molasses, spice, and mild herbal hops. Taste is a little sweet with a nice kick of hops and a nice finish.

Nice smooth and full beer. It has a great body without being a dark beer. Got this at the end of season and wish i could have had another. My favorite of the pyramid lineup.

UPDATED: OCT 24, 2004 (Draft) Ruby brown with a small tanish head, Malty aroma with a bit of roastyness. Malty with good mouth feel and toffee fruitish flavors coming in. Some good hop bitterness to end. Really quite well done.
