Nice color, nice nose. Had a molasses hit that got stronger with each sip. Best Christmas beer I drank this year.

Pours a brown color with a tan head. Aroma is sweet caramel, yeast and dark fruits. Taste of spices, dark fruit, coffee and a nice hop bitterness. Finishes on the dry side. Medium bodied.

This was a nice warmer. It poured a steady brown. Aroma was alcoholic and malty. Flavour was full and definitely warming. There were hops on the bottom of the swallow that made for a good contrast to the sweetness. I’d love to have a steady supply of this one.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle @ home. Pours in mahogany with a foamy two fingered head that quickly dissipates and leaves nice lacing on the glass. Aroma is sweet fruit and some spice. Flavor is sweet almost cloyingly so. There is some nuttiness and spice in the background. The finish is mildly bitter (hops). Mouthfeel is medium. Average winter warmer.

This is a nice winter warmer. A dark copper pour with a full beige head. Aroma is of spice and malts. A very pleasant balance of malt and hops compliments the alcohol undertones. As this winter ale warms hints of chocolate, sweet malt and spice come through. Very good

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Pours dark brown with something resembling a small head - it disappeared so quickly I’m not sure it was even there. Smells of malts and prunes with some other sweet fruitiness. Tastes about the same with some sourness and astringency towards the end. Medium-heavy body. Not bad, nothing special.

Good winter beer and at 7% abv it makes for a good base beer. Full flavor that goes down way too easy. Slight spicyness and maltiness. I tried a vintage snow cap at the winter beer festival in seattle and it aged quite well, all the characteritics of the beer were enhanced, I think it was a 04 or 05.
