3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Pours dark brown with something resembling a small head - it disappeared so quickly I’m not sure it was even there. Smells of malts and prunes with some other sweet fruitiness. Tastes about the same with some sourness and astringency towards the end. Medium-heavy body. Not bad, nothing special.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Good winter beer and at 7% abv it makes for a good base beer. Full flavor that goes down way too easy. Slight spicyness and maltiness. I tried a vintage snow cap at the winter beer festival in seattle and it aged quite well, all the characteritics of the beer were enhanced, I think it was a 04 or 05.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
First beer of the day, and it was dark enough to entice me, but lite enough to go down good. Soft aroma, light sweet fruit taste with a slight bitter finish. Don't think I will run to drink it first again. :(

A good winter ale. Alcohol aftertaste is soul warming. Tastes a little like caramel coffee.

(tap) Not bad. This isn’t a special kind of ale. It’s similar to Stone Pale Ale or Arrogant Bastard.

Pours clear dark red with a tall tan head. Aroma is malty, cherry. Taste is pretty much hthe same with a little sweetness, some spicy hops in the finish. Palate is a little thin for the style.

something about pyramids and snow that is wrong. bottle. pours deep amber, slight tan head. nose is slight malt, touch roast. mouth is light amber malt, nuances of roasted barley, hop resin with more hop bitters. overall decent have had other winter brews more to my liking.
