Nice amber color, and a very hoppy aroma. Strong, very sharp hops flavor in the finish with a mild malty start. The aftertaste is a bit harsh, but it still tastes quite good.

Typical amber color, average head. I thought that this was surprisingly crisp and well-hopped, with some citrus flavor, especially grapefruit. Not bad at all.

UPDATED: APR 26, 2006 (BB11/06/02) Real hoppy (spicy as opposed to floral) nose. Attractive thin whitehead. Lasting lace. Very smooth. The 67ibus seem a bit high. My perceived bitterness is around 50ibus. There is enough malt to make this beer balanced and well crafted. A nice medium to full bodied IPA.

Hoppy, and somewhat fruity, it is smooth, maybe to smooth. 67 IBU’s, where I can’t taste them. 6.7% ABV is well hidden, a refreshing IPA, not enough kick for me, But I’d pass these out without reservation. Give it a few extra points for good cost value.

Had on draft. Fruity flavors like pear. Not all that hopped for an IPA. Pleasant, unspectacular.

dry finish, thin. Little notable head, light gold color. I don’t particular care for IPAs, especially when they’re anything but very cold...

Had on tap at the Seattle brewery. This beer reminds me of Diamond Knot and Snoqualmie Falls IPA due to the obvious use of Columbus hops. Ahh.. Columbus and Left Coast IPA. A wonderful combination. 07/26/02 Rerate: The formulation has been changed. What was a wonderful brew with a Columbus flavor/finish has been changed to Tomahawk. Not nearly as good as it was. A step backwards for sure. As such I am forced to downgrade what was once a top notch IPA. Sorry guys.

Very nice IPA. I liked the balance of this particular brew. Might have rated it even higher, except this was one of those odd ones that consistently gave me a headache. But the Seattle folks that can buy this for ’popular price’ compared to what we pay for it here in Michigan are lucky ducks!

great hoppy aroma, floral and sharp. the taste s equally hoppy buy lacks the malt balance that separates the great IPAs from the good ones. nice bubbly palate and overall a good hophead beverage.

Color is gold-amber; head fairly light but bubbly...Aroma is enticing blend of flowers and hops. Flavor is decidedly hoppy, but malt sweetness still detectable. Bracing bitter finish. This brew doesn’t pretend to be well-balanced--it is formulated for the hop-heads among us--and it doesn’t disappoint.
