Bottle. Pine hops and honey malt aroma. Golden yellow with small head. Initially a honey malt flavor followed by a pine hops finish. One of the sweetest IPAs Iíve ever had - really works very well.

Bottle enjoy by 020708: Pours a transparent copper orange with a frothy, stringy-lacing off-white head. Aroma of lightly sweet caramel malt with some grainy notes and a mild grapefruity hoppy presence. Body starts with a decent viscosity and some sweet caramely pale malts along with a mild citrusy hop balance before a bittersweet finish. An ok IPA, but needs a more assertive fresh hoppy character.

Bottle. Amber colored beer with a medium white head. Aroma of pine and citrus, but not as much as many IPAís. Body tingles a bit and has some carbonation. Flavor has a rich malt backbone with a nice bitterness to it that lingers - otherwise your typical tar and citrus with a hint more of the alcohol. Not bad - and probably their best beer, but there are better breweries.

Coutesy GMCC2181. 12oz bottle pours clear deep gold with copper core and white head. The aroma is faint citrus hops and some malt sweetness. The aroma is pretty weak overall for the style. The taste starts with malty sweetness and builds toward mild citrus orange peel and grapefruit flavors. As it progresses the citrus hops become more and more bitter to about midway. For a moment the hops are met by a brief pulse of malty sweetness. Into the finish the citrus hop bitterness regains total control of the flavor. It leans toward mild grapefruit bitterness into the after taste.

A solid rep of the style, with a slighty soapy character to the dominant cascade profile, and a shorter-than-average finish. Nice bitterness though.

Pours an amber gold with a decent white head. Smells earthy and sage like with some floral hints. Tastes of dry malt and light pepper with a hint of hops on the finish. More subdued than others I’ve tried.

Pours golden with a decent off-white head and pineish (is that a real word?) aroma. Itís light on caramel malt, but heavy on the hops. So what you have is a bitter but lackluster beer.

Had a pint at Palomino in downtown Cincinnati. Golden-orange pour. Mild aroma, hoppy with a little citrus. Gave the impression of a fairly straightforward IPA until I actually drank it. Very poor IPA overall; tasted as if an unpleasant chemical were added that afternoon. Somewhat bitter with no reward. Unnatural aftertaste. Disappointing- easily the worst Pyramid beer Iíve tasted.

Bottle: Fiery golden, translucent, large foamy white head, very nice lacing, lively carbonation. † Somewhat sweet hop aroma, very slight foral aspect. † Soft bitterness up front, a touch earthy and malty. † Quite nice in body, moderate mouthfeel. † Subtle bitterness lingers well after the finish. † Overall a light IPA, but fairly well balanced and quite solid. † Not agressive, but quite smooth. † Took my by surprise.   I think this one is under-rated.
