Drjohnrock (94), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA Dec 2, 2007 This IPA has a clear gold/amber color and a small but lasting head with some lacing. But the big news is the taste. There is not only good balance between the hops and malt but the flaovrs are well integrated. Even some of the better IPAs and pale ales I’ve had seem to have a clash for dominance between the hops and malt. Here, they are blended so well they seem to belong together. Add a good hoppy finish and you have an impressive beer. My only complaint is that the flavors are a little too subdued for my taste. Had they been somewhat stronger this rating would be even higher. Still, a very worthwhile brew. From a 12 ounce bottle courtesy of Mr. K--many thanks!
anders37 (2563), Malmö, Sweden Aug 18, 2008 Draught @ WABF 2008. Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a small ehite head. Fruity malty aroma with some hoppy hints. Fruity malty hoppy flavor with some citrus hints. Sweetish malty fnish with some bitterness in the aftertaste. DuffMan (1915), Calgary, Alberta, Canada Aug 17, 2008 A solid rep of the style, with a slighty soapy character to the dominant cascade profile, and a shorter-than-average finish. Nice bitterness though. NoiZe (875), Zeist, Netherlands Aug 16, 2008 Tasted somewhere along my trip through the States.
A bit boring IPA, but very drinkable. veshi (2), USA does not count Aug 13, 2008 With a miniscule hops scent, this beer pours a decent head and an enjoyable flavor. Not my favorite IPA, but I’d pick it up if I were in a grocery store in the middle of nowhere. bennylava (55), California, USA Aug 13, 2008 12 oz bottle.
