UPDATED: JUN 29, 2006 Bottle. Rated 6/29/06. This oneís stamped "06/08/08." That doesnít seem Iíve read it right, but I can definietly tell itís a fresh bottle. Hop nose and taste is very fresh, grassy and piney with a hint of what I lovingly call "cat piss." No, that means I like its boldness. Looks a little pale, but malts are quite sweet and sticky, which would only intensify if the bottle is left to age. No doubt, a big ass kicking of northwestern alphas for us hop heads.

Bottled, rated 9/22/03. My bottle, from a friendís cellar, was date-stamped 3/99, so hereís how well it has aged: Very flowery/estery smell when opened. Pours a slightly cloudy amber body, thin head but leaves a little lacing. Taste is actually closer to a thin barley wine; maltiness overwhelming the mellowed hop profile. Holds up well if stored carefully, but I wouldnít recommend keeping space for it if you have some Bigfoot. I opened a second, equally old bottle and got more of a big hop aroma and taste. Alcohol still very noticeable, almost like a barelywine, and more of a citrus note as well. I canít be more critical since these are 4-year old bottles, so just take this as a cautionary on well a good beer keeps.

very disappointing it kind of tastes like budweiser at first but finishes a little better. Aroma isnít to bad but the flavor is very off sweet then bitter and skunky no balance. I thought maybe just poor storage but reading the other reviews probably not.

Bomber. Opaque orange copper, off-white foamy head fades fast. Citrus hop aroma and taste, nice fruitiness, some herbs and evergreen, medium caramel malts. Flat-soft carbonation, medium bodied, moderately hopped. Bitter citric finish. Nice enough flavor, a bit lifeless. NFL (Not For Lagerboys)

It poured a clear copper color with no head. The aroma was of bready malts, caramel and some light citrus hops. The taste was of caramel malts, lots of bread, cereal, some lingering citrus hops and some bitterness. This was pretty much a one dimensional beer and average.

Nice aroma, but taste is a little flat. Normal hop sharpness, appearance is great with high fluffy head. Finish is short, with mild lingering bitterness. Good, but not great.

On tap @ Doyleís Pour House (Barneget NJ). Pours a clear golden amber color with 2 fingers of foamy white head. Aroma of bread and yeast, with plenty of citrus hops. Taste of citrus and floral hop bitterness, and bready malts.

Aroma was I don't remember. Light amber. Quite bitter and surprisingly fruity. Medium body. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

March 2012. Bottle. Middle of the road IPA, but with so many better choices out there, why even bother? Amber color, white head. Some hops, but muted. Mostly malt and caramel.

Pours a light copper color with a minimal off-white head. Aroma of pine and melon. Decent malt to hops balance. Not a bad drinking IPA but far from the best. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Very subpar IPA. Dank boring taste. Small hops. Just a commercial IPA in my opinion. Had this on draft at Pyramid Brewery by Safeco field.

Bland smell. Murky and fizzy appearance (like a wheat beer). Slightly bitter taste, not a lot of depth. Drinkable. My craft beer friends all hate it, and my non-craft beer friends all hate it, not sure where the appeal is on this. Maybe for wannabe beer snobs?
