3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap @ Tilted Kilt in Woodridge, IL. Cloudy medium brown with a small white head that leaves nice lacing, but doesn’t retain very well. Aroma of smokey malt and corn. Flavor is sweet and similar, mostly malt, no hops, and a hint of coca. Kinda like a dunkel wisse-scotch ale. Not great, but pretty good and drinkable.l

Poured a dark chestnut color with a creamy orangish head. The nose was malty with some oak/woody aromatics. The flavor was sweet with dates, pears and cinnamon. The finish had a peaty smokiness to it, with floral hops beneth. A little heavy but very enjoyable.

Brick red color and wee bit of head. (I couldn’t resist) They boast 7 varieties of malt, but the whiskey malt is most prevailant and dominates the nose. A very smooth ale with a sweet finnish.
