A light white beer of Belgian origin, we’ve brewed ours with chamomile, coriander, curacao (bitter orange peel), and sweet orange peel. All of the spices are added in the brew house in very small and subtle doses. Perfect for the summer, our Wit beer is light and crisp, with spicy flavors accentuated by fruity aromatics.

On draft at the brewery. Pours a hazy light yellow with foamy head that dissipates fast. Thick wheat-y aroma with hints of banana and a touch of spice. Very thin taste, light bodied and bland.

A - Pours a cloudy golden-yellow color with a finger of frothy white head. The head fades down at a normal pace leaving behind some lacing. S - Aroma is a mix of Belgian yeast, wheat, some banana, clove, pepper, and some lemon zest. T - Starts off with some lemon zest with some sweet wheat. Through the middle some Belgian yeast comes through with some pepper and clove. The finish adds a bit of banana with some more pepper, some lemon zest, and some wheat. M - Light bodied with moderate-plus carbonation. Feels smooth with a sweet and lightly peppery finish. D - Very drinkable. Very crisp and refreshing but a bit thin and could have used a bit more flavor.

Bottle: Yellow/pale golden pour is hazy with a thing white head. The nose is sort of dull with wheat and lager malt. Flavor of wheat, lightly spicey, malty, and faintly grassey. A Belgian wit? Me thinks not… a boring ole American wheat.

Bottle:   Pale straw, hazy, thin foamy white head, dies quickly leaving spotty lacing.   Wheaty nose, a bit mealy, with minor corriander.   Otherwise void of most of the brightness and spices of other examples.   A bit more spicy on the tongue, but not sharp.   Remains a bit wheaty, soft, with a little bit of a mealy background.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Certainly a wheaty finish, but any sort of bright spiciness has gone, leaving only a bit of mealy wheat flavors on the backside.   Not offensive, but very pedestrian in its spices.   Decent wheatiness, but very much needs to be sharper.   Decent for a hot summer (or spring) day, but needs to have its spices a bit more forefront.
