Bottled. Hazy ambery brown colour with mediumsized fluffy/creamy off-white head that leaves some lace. Aroma is banana, wheat, mild yeast as well as some caramelly, sugary and slightly roasted notes. Flavour is rather sweet bananaish and wheaty along with some hints of toffee and sugar. Rather sweet Dunkelweizen, but still quite good in balance.

50cl bottle at the London Drinker BF 06. Thanks to Duff and Olaf for this one. Cloudy brown/gold with lasting beige head. I seem to remember lots of banana and a cereal wheat feel in the mouth.

It’s hazy, red mahogany with a creamy head and the aroma has notes of banana and caramel. The sweet flavor has notes of caramel, banana, light yeast, wheat and clove, and the finish is dry.

500ml bottle (OPP, Helsinki, German Weeks 2009)
Slightly sour aroma. Sharp carbonation. A bit watery at first, sharp and almost salty. Deep brown. Fairly simple body, not as sludgy as some dunkels. As it warms, the palate fills out a bit, and it’s a touch sweeter, grainier, and with more hops in the finish.

(screw cap bottle) Hazy, dark amber colour with a huge, off-white foamy head. Sweet wheat-malty and fruity aroma (bubblegum & banana), slightly ashy with restrained toasty notes. Sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a lively carbonation. Very light toasty, wheat-malty taste with a well-balanced fruity note and light phenols; sweet, fruity and slightly sourish finish. Tastes more like a (good) Ur-Weizen than a Dunkelweizen.
