Awful medicinal lozenge aroma, perfume alcohols, fruit peel gone tobacco leaf, Rumtopf. Taste has more alcoholic presence and fumes presiding over harsh earthy orchard fruit peel, tired gooseberry, stale grape juice, late marzipan - all notes I can appreciate in a Belgian strong ale or a barley wine, but do not need in my IIPA, which has an aura of liveliness to keep up. Either not in top condition or plain ill-guided in recipe, this harsh onslaught was by far my worst beer and one of few drain pours at the BKL ’15. The overpriced marketing doesn’t help either.

Bottle at a big tasting (Nördprovning 2015). Fruity and hoppy with dried fruit. Similar taste. Tastes like an old Närke Huvill.

fraenkische bierfest 2014 in nuremberg, poured from the bottle into a very fancy pyraser wine glass. rich shsade of orange with a persistent off-white head; aroma of drunk sultanas, pine, orange poppy seed cake; decent bitterness, plenty of stone fruit, thick but not cloying; a fair bit of brewing nous involved here

75 cl bottle.
Pours clear dark golden color with a large white head. Pine needles, resinous hops and citric fruits on the nose, mild orange peel and hay also. Caramel malts and mandarin on the flavor, some harsh tangy hops, gooseberries and some resinous notes also. Bitter malty palate, sweetish lingering finish. Not very balanced, not too sweet though, alcohol also quite well hidden. Should be a lot more refreshing.

0,75 l bottle. A light amber in the glass, unclear. Hopy fruity nose. Starts with hop herb, fruity bitter background. Later more malt and honey with long lasting pleasant bitterness. All in all in a hopy bedding. Nice one!

Bottle, thanks Eddan. Hazy oranger/amber with a white head. The aroma was quite nice, fruit and hops. Quite sweet taste of fruit, hops, grass and caramel. The finish was fairly bitter. A descent one.
