Very big bourbon in the nose. Subsided flavors of Vanilla and a lite toffee come through as the head fizzles away. Initial taste is big bourbon with coffee and chocolate. Tartness lends to a dry coffee wood tannic finish. Sits on the palate for a long while and allows you to really enjoy each sip. Great big beer taste. 64 oz growler courtesy of b3shine on the last growler swap part AWESOME!

Growler. Poured ruby black color with a moderate creamy light brown head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Medium to heavy toasted chocolate, bourbon and coffee bean with a small alcohol aroma. Medium to full body with a creamy texture and flat carbonation. Medium to heavy bourbon woody and coffee flavor with a medium to heavy sweet finish of moderate to long duration. This is a standout beer.

Sampled from growler. Pours black with a small beige head (not surprising coming from a growler). The aroma is bourbon, roasted malts, coffee with a mild sweetness and a hint of dark fruits. The flavor is a well balanced blend of the roasted malts, coffee and lactose sweetness with the bourbon, dark fruits and vanilla from the barrel. Some woody notes as well. I am enjoying the offerings from Quaff brothers and some of the new stuff coming out of local Cincinnati breweries in general. One tenth for this being local.

On the growler station at Party Source in Kentucky. This is a mild imperial stout that was aged in Elijah Craig barrels. Its a somewhat thin, dark and not overly carbonated pour. You can really taste the bourbon but in no way is this overly boozy. As it warms this beer really changes in a great way and some of the coffee flavors begin to shine. An exceptional beer that I hope they decide to bottle at some point. One of the best to come out of the Cincinnati craft scene.

Draft to tulip. Looks good; black with beige lacing. Smells good too; sweet, malty, and bourbon. Tastes like it smells with a good mouthful. You get more of the coffee in the taste than the nose. Sank good beer!
