ghawener (729), San Salvador, El Salvador Sep 12, 2008 Bottle @ Cruzat: Light colored for the style, taste is light and simple. Would expect a bit more character. Lilith (242), Santiago, Chile Dec 30, 2006 Clear, light caramel color; medium white head. Strong aroma of butter, honey, sugar and smoked ham. Flavor is smoked, too, flowery with an oily texture and some bitterness as background.

Thanks to Omhper for this one!.
Shared with Panzerfaust and Nigredo
Panzerfaust (377), Santiago, Chile Dec 30, 2006 Pours a hazy amber color. Head is white, medium, airy and diminishes fast. It laces pretty well in my glass though.
Aroma is smokey with lots of buttery notes. There is some smoked ham, salmon and hidden fruity hints of berries. This is something new for me.
Flavor is smokey too with slightly sweet touches. Lots of smoked ham, some fresh fish and strawberries in the back. Weird but I like it.
Low carbonation, medium body. Finish is very smokey. A little light texture. Aftertaste is good. I was expecting a more Tobacco like smokeyness. Simple, not many flavors come out but a well done and strange beer.

Salty bacon-smokey nose. Dryish with gentle rounded cookie malt, light-medium body. Restrained hoppiness and low bitterness. An excellent rauchbier with it’s evident but not overpowering smokiness.
