Cask a birthday treat along with a meal at The Swan at Whiston near Penkridge. Poured with a medium head as the sparkler was on. Golden and creamy but could have done with a bit more body. Not bad though.

Cask Handpump from the Outside Bar at the Black Horse, Darwen 26/05/2007 Some hop aroma. A little carbonation. Golden bronze coloured and smooth on the palate with a crisp and slightly bitter lasting malt finish.

Copper colour with a thin foamy head. Some caramel and honey scent. Quite thin. Complex in the mouth: apples and peaches in the front and then sweet oranges towards the back. A bit sickly sweet for me.
