3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
A decent porter... but nothing to write home about. Roasted malt and chocolate in the aroma and flavor....sweet, but not sugary sweet. Goes well with a heavier meal.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: NOV 26, 2007 This might be my favorite out of all of them. Sweet, clean tasting, roasted malts and light chocolate. Easy to drink. Very nice to drink with dinner. Not a big fan of strong porters, and this was nice.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
On tap at the brewpub Dark brown, with a sienna glint and finge. Rim of silky ivory. Too clear. Light aroma of nondeScript sweetness. Flavor is a horrible watereddown trash porter. Artificial sweetness, overly bitter roasted notes, and peculiar biting character. Bad penny hops back end. Some light sea salt. Overall, pretty bad.

Very dark brown but there is some red shine, little head. Light coffee and roast in the nose with some dark fruit at the end. Light coffee at the front of the body, then the hops kick in ligktly throughout. An okay porter, a bit one sided with the hops, but they aren't over-the-top either.
