Corn pop cereal smell. Clear amber, headless. Flavor is Southern Comfort and diacetyl. Alcohol very noticeable. Interesting, profoundly flawed, but I liked it in a weird sort of way.

Keg @ QC. Amber small head. The nose is apricot, brown bread. Artificial sweet notes. The taste is apricot jellies, little else. sort of dirty. Light body, moderate carbonation. Pretty nasty.

12 ounce bottle from the brewery. Pours a dark reddish amber color with a large head. Good retention and lacing. Aroma is apricot with some caramel malts and faint hops. Taste is apricot and muted vegetal hops. Some honey and caramel malts as well. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

12oz bottle-pours a tan head but the bottle gushed oupon opening, color is brown with orange tint. Aroma is light/medium malt-some caramel, fruit-OK, apricot. Taste is light/medium malt-some caramel, fruit-OK, apricot, secondary spice hops. Thanks decaturstevo for picking this out.

On tap at Queen City on 01/17/2009. Clear copper amber body with a large frothy off-white head. Light apricot and caramel aroma. Sweet caramel and faint apricot flavor with a touch of astringency. Medium body with moderate carbonation.

Bottle shared by decaturstevo. Poured orange with an off-white head. Nice apricot aroma backed with some apple, wheat, and perfume. Apricot flavor with hop push in the end. Medium body and a mild bitterness.

Also sampled at the Zapit tasting. Pours a clear orangish red. Light fruit aroma. Some hoppiness in the flavor with obvious apricot. Slightly syrupy body with a bitter finish. Kinda tasted off to me, but wasnt horrible.

decaturstevo’s 2008 Zapit Tasing Tasting. Sample from a bottle thanks to decaturstevo. Clear orange-copper color with a thin off white head and whispy lacing, strong apricot fruitiness, overripe skins. Taste is apricots up front then a dry bitterness in the finish.
