Commercial Description:
Cask; Regular. Also available bottled.
A rich, appealing aroma and colour give a hint of the prospect to come. The balance of subtle bitterness and sweet malt flavours make that prospect a reality. Thirst quenching and eminently drinkable; a fine quaffing ale.

Bottled, filtered, 500ml from Quercus Brewery Bottleshop. Tawny bronze with white head. Initially it was just another malty bottled bitter, but this improved in the glass immensely. Rich malts with hints of roasty sweetness, full bodied bitterness and a lingering dry hoppiness. Really pretty good for a 4% bottled bitter.

Bottle. Amber brown with a small head. Aromas are toffee malts with some nuttiness. Earthy and spicy in its hops. Flavours are earthy, spicy hops with pine. Dry tea and citrus with medium malts. Decent.

Bottle. No carbonation and a pleasant bronze appearance. No head on pouring and quite bitter with malty undertones. Describes itself as a quaffing ale but certainly way above your run of the mill session bitter.
