This west coast style IPA is our tribute to Norse and their quests and adventures. ELLIDA was a legendary magic dragon ship also known as the first ship of the north. This Viking ale is brewed with loads of hops and balanced out with 5 varieties of malts. Local malt from Riverbend Malthouse is used to add to the flavor complexity.

UPDATED: APR 20, 2016 On tap at Quest. Pours a dark copper color with white head. Citrus, hoppy, resiny aromas. Resiny, piney, citrus, hoppy flavors. My favorite of the four I tried. Tastes like camping in the woods.

Pint can. Pours lightly foggy orange-amber with a big spongy head. Nose of caramel, toasted grain, soapy citrus zest and evergreen resin. Tasty front of earthy-leafy hop, toffee and dry cocoa. Finish turns to a mushy mess of sodden wood, cocoa, minty resin, booze and citrus zest. Near-medium body has a medium-high carbonation that’s nearly too fizzy.

Pounder can from trio. Pours clear golden with a plus size head that has outstanding retention. The aroma has big bright tropical fruit, grapefruit, very citrus forward and light on the malts. The Taste has some spicy, herbal character, big citrusy juicy flavors, low to medium bitterness. Very hop forward and very well done.

Copper, with a huge head. Smells really clean and grassy, with a nice hoppy aroma. Taste is a bit of toasty malt at first, then piney hops. Nothing too fancy here, but well made and tasty.

Pours a clear coppery yellow, heavy lacing. Pine and citrus aromas. Heavy dose of hoppy bitterness all the way through; some resin and pine, hints of lemon and grapefruit. Sure to please hopheads in the Greenville area.
