(Bottled, 5.5% ABV) Almost clear amber with a medium head. Slightly tart and caramely nose with orange-peel spiciness. Flavor is caramely malt with Du Bocq house yeast and some drying tartness. Also some spices (orange peel, coriander?). Medium body, somewhat fizzy CO2, reasonably refreshing. Not the most memorable brew, but at least more interesting than similar Palm or De Koninck. 4355

Bottle. Golden amber color, tan head. Aroma of spice, flowers, bread. Taste is dark bread and light spice. Interesting.

Bottle at home. Gold amber body with medium head. Nose of malts and spices. Taste also quite spicy up front, gets more caramel like and then fizzy in the finish. Sort of a strange ale, this one.

Creamy amber beer with a refreshing sour tang. A litte nutty and a little fruity. Malty semi dry finish.

Bottle 33cl. An amber with medium head. Smell is on citrus and triple kind of beer. Aroma is on dry fruits, apricot, prune, peach, mostly dry specially at the finish which is spicy hoppy too. Quite bitter, not bad but too dry and watery for me.

Given quite generously at a B&B we were staying at in West Flanders. Poured very golden with a nice white head, tons of lacing. Taste was very light and delicious. Overall a wonderful regional beer that I am trying to describe from memory without notes. Enjoy.

Excellent head, bright gold colour with furious carbonation. Huge hops bomb on the nose, nothing but, yet very spicy and aromatic, full flavoured. The taste is much the same, with a very big and complex hops flavour that has some small malt hints at the end. Mild finish. Nice and floral, but not what I would call a traditional amber.

Confused here- the beer I had was ’QDC Blond’, but not the Tripel, and 6.6% ABV. I’m assuming it was a variant of this...bog standard tasty, perfumed Belgian blond. Bright amber-gold; good steady fizz supporting a fine, lacing collar. Perfumed aroma; lemongrass, coriander, sherbet lemons. Bright and sherbety; flying saucers, perfumey spice, finishing hints of hop. Enjoyable.

Bottle from Bootlegger. Pours amber with a huge, frothy beige head. Aroma is malty and yeasty. Near medium body with mild carbonation. There’s a mild sour note, and there’s a respectable amount of bitter. Decent ale.
