3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: SEP 2, 2003 Amber color, beautiful head. Very nice aroma, malty, fruity (peaches, ananas, raspberry), wood, sweet, candies. Dry mouthfeel, woody; in the final there is a residual sweetness, followed by the bitterness. The taste is not so much interesting as the aroma.
[2002-01-07, 9-3-7-3-14] Amber ale. Fresh fruity aroma, wonderful. Bitter, medium dry, good body. Long final, it lacks some aromatic hop.

Reminds me of Hommel-bier. Lots of bitterness from the hops. A real good summerbeer, cold and bitter, refreshing.

Bottle from Bier Tempel.
A fine amber beer, malty without being too heavy, hoppy without being too dry, sour without being too vinegary. This is a fine beer that could be a fine addition for a bar that would wish for an alternative that is not too extreme.

UPDATED: DEC 7, 2005 Bright amber hue, with a light-long foamy head, with a fruity nose of orange peels , caramelized malt aroma, follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a fruity of candied orange peels and peaches, spicy note and sweet malty character leading towards a sparkling dry finish

UPDATED: JUN 12, 2005 (Bottle 25 cl) Curiously, the "Brune" and "Blonde" versions of this beer are brewed by other breweries. Beautiful deep, amber color, unfiltered with yeast sediment and an agressive yellow-brown head. Very nice and quite pronounced aroma of hops, which also leaves some bitterness. 210804

25 cl. Nice amber color with a moderate head. The aroma is sweetish and fruity. The same goes for the flavour, that has notes of candy sugar and fruit. the finish has a nice citrus notes, that gives the sweetness counterweight.

(Stockholm Beer Festival 2007) Bottle. Amber color, nice offwhite head. Yeasty wheat aroma, malty, roasted, fruity notes and some toffee. Malty, yeasty flavor, nutty notes. Quite nice diacetyl finish.

Given quite generously at a B&B we were staying at in West Flanders. Poured very golden with a nice white head, tons of lacing. Taste was very light and delicious. Overall a wonderful regional beer that I am trying to describe from memory without notes. Enjoy.
