ogivlado (2317), Zagreb, Croatia Sep 5, 2008 Bottled(250ml). -Reddish amber coloured, medium sized tan head, strong unpleasant stale wine barrell nose. The taste is basicly the same but a bit better. Moderate sweet and sour, short finish with notes of beet in the aftertaste. Not so good sour ale. wyzzywyz22 (325), Wirral, Merseyside, England Jun 30, 2008 Bottle, Kris Wines, London . Poured a ruby tinged brownish colour with a small head. Sweet n’ sour, yeasty malty aroma. Reasonably sour and tart flavour with sweet elements of caramel and some fruit. Not too bad. beastiefan2k (1108), Lawrence (formely NYC), Kansas, USA May 25, 2008 2nd rating of Belgian trip on 5/16/08.
Pours a very dark reddish brown color with a medium thick head that never goes away and just covers the sides of the glass. Aroma hits you strong with spoiled, starting to fester, dark cherries. It tickles the nostrils a bit and has some earth and soil dark malts to balance it out a bit. Taste is calmed down on the spoiled aspect but more like drippy dark cherries that are still edible. At the end of the flavor there is a seltzer feel with a slightly wild flavor. It finishes simple and refreshing with a hint of sweetness to bring it all together. 25cl bottle @ Le Bier Circus, QdC large snifter/tulip glass, dated bb 06/06/09. Dedollewaitor (2041), Odense, Denmark Apr 28, 2008 Bottle. Thanks to TheWolf. Pours brown/amber with a creamy off white head.
