Bottle. White lasting head. Clear dark red body Vinegar aroma. Rootbeer / goose berry fkavor. This is not my taste of a beer but as is it is so much different from what I have tasted so far I’ll give it a couple of extra points in my overall judgement. Not tad at all as we would say in my "home country".

Bottle@Bier Circus, Brussels. Nose, almost balsamic aroma, with some acidic cherryish type aromas, woody. The flavour come through in the flavour. The mouthfeel is very well balanced and seems to hit the exact spot between sweet and sour. Bloody, with some tomatos acidity. Balsamic. Very nice.

I love this sour ale, refreshing, complex and just in perfect balance with it’s sour side...

Chestnut colour with a small tan head. Malty aroma with fruity and nutty notes. Light fruity tart flavor with some caramel sweetness. Yeasty and dry finish to a quite fizzy beer.

Clear, strongly carbonated copper. The head is beige, small, but lacing nitro-like, leaving traces for every sip to be remembered. Sweet and sour nose, fruity (grapes and cherries) and globally balanced. A pleasant balsamic aspect ensures high drinkability, paired with the quenching, really engaging carbonation that is quite active at first, but becomes foamier and givec the mouthfeel a creaminess that is most welcomed and makes you forget about the filtration. Taste remains fairly lasting and is pleasantly light, woody and gummy, leaving a slight sweet film that is balanced by the diplomatic tartness. Up to the brewery’s high standards, if not the most exciting oud bruin out there.

Beautiful red-brown colour, clear; medium brownish head. Typical Verhaeghe nose; vinous, woody, and sweet - in a saccharing way (no Karl, I’m NOT saying saccharine is used, it tastes as if...) and dark candi sugar. And a faint acetic acid in the background. Pretty much the same in the taste: sweet-sour, vinous, wood, lactic and acetic acid and an overlying sweetness that has an artificial character. Retronasal it’s very good, however, like a true and ripened oud-bruin. Tittilating, some acid-burn, and some dry-out effect. Typical Verhaeghe mix of the best and off-tastes.
